Bar-BoF on Network Virtualization at IETF#71, Philadelphia, USA

On March 12, 2008, the Bar Birds-of-a-Feature for a possible IRTF Network Virtualization Research Group was held with the active participation from approximately 30 researchers in the world. Martin chaired the Bard-BoF. |

Martin and Xiaoming were actively involved in the Bar-BoF. Other participants included Aaron Falk, IRTF Chair and GENI Lead System Engineer, Joe Touch, director of Postel Center, and as well as many other participants from US, Europe and Asia. Views from the EU 4ward, US GENI and Japan Akari initiatives and the ISI XBone project were extensively discussed and the community showed great interest in continuing the investigation on this emerging research topic. |
