Room: ZHG 103 Invited speaker: Holger Schell (Accenture GmbH) Title: IPTV at Accenture - Overview and Case Study Abstract: Accenture is a global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company. Combining unparalleled experience, comprehensive capabilities across all industries and business functions, and extensive research on the world's most successful companies, Accenture collaborates with clients to help them become high-performance businesses and governments. IPTV is most commonly defined as the delivery of digital TV and other video services over a controlled IP Broadband network to a Television set. In this context Accenture augments knowledge and experience now and over the past several years in the area of IPTV enabling customers to extant their current services, attracting customers to sustain and increase their market share. The talk "IPTV at Accenture - Overview and Case Study" consists of two parts: In the first part an overview about the evolution of TV to IPTV and the current IPTV market is given. It illustrates the IPTV infrastructure with focus on the IPTV middleware comparing different middleware solutions. In the latter part "IPTV at Accenture" presents case studies. The first one describes a specific IPTV middleware solution - Microsoft Mediaroom. There will be detailed information which highlights the main functionalities and technology insights. This part closes with an overview about a real project showing Accenture involvement. |
