> Deputy Assistant
We immediately look for several motivated students who have experiences in Linux network programming and knowledge of overlay networks.

> Research Assistant
The Computer Networks Group at the Institute for Computer Science at the University of Göttingen has a strong expertise in the research of Internet architecture and protocols, mobile networking and their performance evaluation. In the Telematics group we have been conducting a number of EU funded, national or other third-party funded research projects. The most recent European projects are ENABLE, DAIDALOS2, MING-T, VIDIOS and IPT. Further information on the group is available from http://www.net.informatik.uni-goettingen.de/ We are is looking for 2 researchers (PhD students/postdocs) in the field of wireless and multimedia communications in the Internet, including developing related protocols and mechanisms for today's and tomorrow's networks and services. The research field of the position holders may be on 1) IP multimedia networking, 2) online social networks, or 3) wireless networking. We seek highly motivated applicants holding a master or PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a similar discipline. Candidates are expected to have a strong background in performance modeling and quantitative methods, and hands-on network measurement experience. A plus is related research project experience. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. The employments will be according to the German public service pay scale TVL-E13 West, initially for one year, with the possibility of extension for additional 2 years. Gesucht wird eine Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft. Erforderlich sind hier Zuarbeiten und neben anderem Dingen das Einarbeiten in network simulation tools sowie Entwicklungsumgebungen und -werkzeugen, die für das Projekt ausgewählt wurden.
