Description
Identity management is recently a hot topic for web-based applications. There are various means and objectives for identity management: single sign-on, user authentication and accounting, automated provisioning or role-based access control. Today standardization organizations (SDOs) and companies developed solutions like SAML, Open ID, CardSpace however none of them is secure, flexible and light-weight.
This thesis studies the existing solutions and the possibility of extending today's network authentication and authorization framework for identity management. This is a joint work with Nokia-Siemens Networks.
