Description
The success of Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technologies such as file sharing and swarming has provided a great opportunity for some form of end-system (P2P) multicast. Although there are some multicast applications out there, which today are largely handled by infrastructure-based overlays (i.e. Akamai) or IP multicast (in enterprise settings). This project targets at simulating a new P2P multicast protocol and evaluating its performance (e.g. scalability, resilience).

Requirements
Some knowledge/experience in a network simulator (e.g. ns-2, OMNeT or P2PSim); good understanding of computer networking. Completion of a Computer Networks lecture and practical course preferred.
