Dr. Sameer Kulkarni received the IEEE TCSC Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award 2019
The IEEE Technical Committee on Scalable Computing (TCSC) is a technical committee within IEEE Computer Society, aimed at fostering research and education in scalable computing with applications.
The IEEE TCSC Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award is an annual award to recognize candidates that have recently received a PhD degree for no more than 2 years and have written an outstanding PhD dissertation in the field of the scalable computing with applications. This award is established to encourage doctoral research that combines theory and practice or makes in-depth technical contributions, having the potential to contribute to the IEEE TCSC.
Due to Dr. Kulkarni's outstanding contributions made in his doctoral dissertation (entitled "Resource Management for Efficient, Scalable and Resilient Network Function Chains", conducted at the Computer Networks Group, University of Göttingen, as part of the EU FP7 CleanSky ITN project), he was selected as a winner of the IEEE TCSC Outstanding Ph.D Dissertation Award 2019.
Dr. Kulkarni will join the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar as assistant professor.
